Well I am getting an XTi on the 14th, and most of you noticed my Powershot forsale.

I'm unsure if I want to sell it now. My question is, do you guys think I should keep it as a backup camera? It's the best P&S I've owned and probably one of the few nicest ones out there. I could use it at places where I wouldn't want to risk bringing an XTi. But if I sold it I could get a decent lens for the XTi.

I just got a P&S backup for my DSLR. With that being said, it's for times when I can't take the DSLR - which means it needs to be small.

Your P&S may as well be a DSLR when it comes to size, so I'm thinking you won't really use it. How sure are you that you're getting this camera?

95% positive... unless I have been lied to lol.

I was thinking of keeping it because I am buying a truck within the month of January. I love offroading so I thought I could use this camera and not have to worry AS MUCH about dropping it in mud or sand by accident. This is a $250 dollar or so used camera... I would hate to drop a $600 investment into mud. I also have a Cybershot that I have used maybe 5times total, only a month or so old. My sister lost the one I had for about a year so she had to buy me another. But it doesn't take as good of pics as the S3... not even close.

I do have someone pretty set on buying the camera in a week so I need to decide soon.

It sounds like you've already decided what you want to do, and you're just looking for people to back you up.

No, I am still pretty undecided.

Basically, whats better. Size or Quality.

I have my Cybershot that is thin and small, but the S3 takes awesome photos and is bulky. Comes down to that.
