Wow. I never let anyone borrow my camera for this exact reason, I'd worry to much.
I'm sur they will turn up. Cameras are pretty small, but they're not easy to lose. If they don't show up, maybe it's a sign to upgrade to DSLR and keep it in your hands at all times.
