HHmmm?? I dont knw what u mean with colored entire pic? For that pic, I would've just masked the car then fix the Color HUE on it (Shadows,Midtones,Highlights) Then Invert the Selection and did the same thing with the Background, just made it blck&white, and you could've came out with the same result!...
Thats the thing w. photoshop though.. There is never a correct way to do it. ppl work different and use totally different tools, but it all can come out lookng the same at the end...

I brushed the whole car. That's what gave it that smooth look. Why don't you try it the way you would do it and see how it would come out. I guarantee it won't come out the same, the quality of the picture is too bad. Thanks for your input though.

 

Yea that is true about the Quality though...... U just cloned the paint, brushed it and brought the opacity down? Thats not bad idea!

not really just focused on photoshop... im a Computer Animator.. we focus on Maya(prgm that makes most CG movies now days, Xbox 360 games, Ps3' yada yada), 3d Studio MAX, After Effects and other CG Programs.. but offcourse, every single one of those programs, in order to texture characters, scenes or whatever it is.. we use photoshop..
