Oh Hell Yeah!! Hey Kenny Take the carb from the spent engine and put it on the replacement engine. You'll get your 12 and a half horses!! Thats the only difference. Oh by the way the carb from the 12 horse engine will run the 14.5 but you have less power. Clean up the original carb for that 14.5 and you'll be in business. The red top engines are a better engine that the black covered engines. Red tops have cast iron sleeve bores, the black ones are all aluminum cylinders.
