Default How to go about Painting Rims

I have some GSR fat fives that are decently clean, was wondering what the best approach for paint is.. also what sticks the best. Should I buy some steelies and have a shop take off the already worn tires? Thinking about going a Type R gunmetal.. Thanks.

powder coat them its a little more money but will hold up very well paint will get messed up when that mount new tires if you get an alignment pretty much any contact with something hard will hurt them just my .02 cents

I have done dozens of rims with no chipping or problems. They need to be prepped right WITHOUT TIRES ON THEM and paint them. And have a GOOD shop mount tires correctly.

That is the KEY a GOOD shop well if you go to Juan Pedros used tires im about 120% sure they will fuck up the paint work same goes for when you get an alignment again im not knocking painted rims I am just stating powder is stronger
