Default sandy/texture finish.....why?

So the last couple of times I have sprayed primer with the most recent being tonight I end up with a dry/texture/sand paper finish. I have done my research and can't seem to find an answer.

I'm using a devilbiss gun and have tried a 1.5 and 1.8 tip. It requires 30psi at the gun which its getting. Iirc it sprayed better when I had just bought it.

Any ideas of what can cause it. I know paint age, psi and all that stuff can cause it but what is the most common you guys know of?

I going to start by taking the gun apart and clean it to make sure there isn't anything holding up the paint....

Temperature--its just drying to fast in this heat. Try a splash of retarder to slow things down.

yeah ive messed around with all that stuff but nothing has worked at all so im hopeful theres something restricting the material flow. havent had time to take the gun apart yet, will try to do it in a little bit.

Dont know what prime it is but cheaper primers are natorious for dry spray. Need to flow it out wit large tip and slower evap. rate.

So I ended up opening the gun and everything seemed ok. I'm done spraying primer and started spraying base a lil while ago. The base seemed fine. Oh and I'm using some nason products @ 90degrees I can't complain.lol

Could be also be your spraying technique. Maybe your not spraying enough material out. When I spray primer, I like to hammer it on, just like clear coat.
