I followed the advice of this board and got my Bertone X1/9 repainted at Sun State (formerly Diane's Hi Glow) just south of Bearses on Nebraska. Diane and her husband and crew did the work and did an outstanding job.

They actually went over and above what I needed, repaint my black trim pieces, installing badges and even my retro Laser Stripe decals. Here's some photos, and my personal recommendation of this shop. Not that that's needed, they have a pretty stellar reputation already

and here are some photos after the work was done. I even had them sand down the black fiberglass Targa top and paint it body color.
