DA needs to be sanded and painted
I bought a DA and the older couple painted the WHOLE car in house paint.
So was wondering house much to just...
1. sand the car down to old car paint.
2. Sand car to old paint an primer flat black.
3. Sand and paint whole car?

Dude thats gonna be a lot of work and money. Worst thing to do is house paint a car. Most shops will get over a grand to strip it right--not including repaint. Sux

wow and this is why we tell people time and time again leave it to a professional. When have you heard of someone who has no experience painting a car to factory quality(A professionals opinion)... The car needs to be striped Primed Blocked and then can be painted correctly ... And there is no way you can get away with just taping stuff up for a quickie . Car needs bumpers moldings( body, window) taken off the front and rear windshield taken off. If its done right and with the right materials by a Real reputable shop Look to the tune of 6-7k out your wallet shit Econo would probably charge you about 1200 to do it there shitty way
What this man is telling you about the cost to have someone do it is completely true.If this would be your first attempt at trying to prep this car.Im gonna tell you to stop yourself, save your money and pay someone to get it done right the first time. And the person I quoted would probably do it for a hard to pass up price. Just my $0.02 for ya.
Strip it yourself, then bring it to a shop. It'll be a whole helluva lot cheaper. Any asshole can strip paint, take off trim, and if you really wanna be baller, remove the windshields. You're paying a skilled professional lots of money for their time spent doing work that some two-bit tire scrubber could do, otherwise.

hey i know someone that might charge you a reasonable price. he just opened up a little body shop, he does body work and paint and he charges pretty fair. If you are interested the shop is located at 6054 causeway blvd. Tampa, fl 33619 and hes name is Freddy you can also call him at 813-235-3778. He does free estimates.
House paint is a mutha fawker! It loads the sand paper so quick, you will end up going through a whole lot of sand paper if you DA. You can heat it with a heat gun and a scraper, or take it to a sand blaster. But I think heating it and scraping the majority and then sand with a DA. But goodluck
