actually, painting it the really cheap way gives you a huge advantage: It's not expensive at all, it's fun, and you get to change your car's appearance almost weekly. You can even do crazy designs or paint types/styles.
Before you go and verbally attack them, look at what they're trying to tell you.
Did you ever specify that you wanted a clean, brand-new look? You just said something "nice" for your daily driver. Doing it yourself will still look fairly nice, especially for an older car like that where the paints were usually very flat anyways.

lol ahahahaha a year of saving? cuz i paint cars everyday? no my friend its called i work at a shop and they supply the paint. when you do inventory thats when you find out the prices of paint and thats all we are trying to tell everyone...if you really wanted a paint job take it to maaco 300 bucks for your overall and jams and you can spend that other 700 bucks of your piece on shit mustang

wow alot of you people are really starting to piss me off with your stupidity.1000 bucks will get you a great job i spent about 400 in paint including pearl and clear on my car. look at how my bumper came out in my garage and the pic was taken with a shitty phone at night that does it no justice and it still looks great and most likely more than what this guy is looking to get for his money
