I decided to paint my civic white. Its a 95 coupe, how much paint will i need and do i need a sealer first?

I would say no more than a gallon, and yes to the sealer

gallon of clear, gallon of paint, gallon of reducer. Or half a gallon of base and half a gallon of reducer depending on the reduction of the brand that you use.

or if he is single staging it would be like a half gallon of reducer and maybe a gallon of paint

Kind of question that if you have to ask you probably should not try yourself. On a Civic coupe Id buy a Quart of sealer, a quart of base color, a a gallon of clear. Id have sealer and a lot of clear left for other small jobs. Single stage Id get 2-3 qts and still have some left.
