Default primer help!!

ok the thing is i bought a gallon of primer to prime my car, but this is my first time doing this and im not sure how to mix it. The can says mix 1 1/2 to 2 parts (150%-200%) of a good laquer thinner. Im not sure how much that would be...the laquer thinner was not included so i also want to know what a good laquer thinner would be. Some one please help me, as this is my first time doing this and am just trying to save a lil $ by prepping the car myself. thanks

Well lacquer primer sucks. But if you must use it you can actually buy decent thinner at Advance Auto Parts. I think its Dupli-Color. Just reduce 1to 1 and if it doesnt spray right put little more in at a time. Or try a Paint supply but lacquer is basically gone anymore.

going to look nasty. I would get a nice epoxy primer at your local jobber with a hardener. You can get a mid line gallon kit for around 60 bucks I think...

Sorry dude but this sounds like another case of "if you dont know what you are doing leave it to the pros." For what you are going to spend someone who knows would prime it for you.

If you ground up some midgets and put them in a gallon can it would be better than what you have....

any thing would be better than what you got.

Descibe the NAPA kit. There are 37654 kinds of primer.
