What is the best way to protect and remove those pesky things. I have been told every thing from Pam(cooking spray) to WD40.
The reason i ask is because I can't wash/wax my car every day so the guts have to sit and bake on till i have some freetime.
Now the best thing I have found to remove the guts is a clay-bar , but then that takes off the protective wax which makes even more work having to reapply more wax.
Man this sucks! What do the pros suggest?

We are detailing about 25 cars a week right now just for love bugs. I can help you with two options:
1. We have a professional chemical that is applied with a spray bottle once the car is wet, you let it set for 5 minutes, then you scrub it off with a special sponge just like a regular wash-doesn't strip paint though. I sell about a years worth for $20 (we buy it in large drums).
2. If you want the Paint Protection Film, this can be a more permanent solution and we have a machine that we feed it through that cuts the pattern to your cars exact dimensions or I can sell it raw (like eBay) by the foot. It is very expensive professionally installed but you don't EVER have to remove it. You could leave the bugs on it forever once we install it and it will not damage anything. It is not as easy to install as it sounds but when we do it professionally, you can't even tell it's there (unless you really look close). If I can help with either option, PM or call me! Good luck...

DO NOT PUT PAM ON YOUR PAINT!!!!!! it will completely peel the paint off. use dryer sheets to get rid of bugs, and get a good wax to keep them off. or get a 300zx, i don't have any lovebugs at all on my car, b/c it's so pointed.
they key to this love bug problem is as soon as you get a good amount of them on you must quickly scrub them bitches off. If you let them sit on your car for days or months, it will eat your paint alone trust me. when i worked for acura detailing that was my worst night mare. the damn bugs! i would put the pressure washer about a foot from the windshield and blast it off with anything u got ie windex, soap, whatever you have. you can put the pressure washer to the bumper but not to close as it "will" peel your paint if is strong enought of a pressure washer. for the bumper just get like a little rough foam pad and hit it with soap. just my 2 cents.
