All stock engine 310,000 miles

I run a 9.7 @ 73 MPH . 15.37 @ 98 mph Quarter mile.

These times are so slow, because I still am running 14" wheels and get alot of wheelspin.

I personally know 2 others here with 7s...
one we are rebuilding his engine ..and geting it ready for porting..
the other just droped a rotor and apex seal like 2 weeks ago..

I myself ill park my car soon...Im debating right now..fi my Caddy or renew the tags on the 7 ..but another engine.and build it then park it later..

I ran at the track about 3-4 months ago..
with bad second gear syncro..(cant shift above 5 k without grinds)
Bad clutch...stock insides @15.6

Im not satified....and not done with the car...
Money is tight and kids, family comes first....But im sill tring to push out $200. a week..just for mods on the car..So im doing alot of overtime for the next 2-3 months.

I just did quick round of what I got in the car..with mods..and price of the car....About $920. and running 15s im ok with ...cause the turbo set up and porting..will be around 2-3k with other acessories..and going for 350-500 hp...depending on turbo size...

Not sure of the 1/4 time..this will still be a daily driver...<<(should of said not a full track car)

I got plans for a Toyota/rotary conversion..So if anything nices comes while im doing my 7 I will get and save..
I passed up deal on a TII engine..$400.

 

Size of tires dont mtter..get better gripping tires..and launch at lower RPMs.then..

Your car came stock ith 14s..why do you think it the wrong size?
On my car I think a 15in drag slick would grab nice...or even stay with 13

1/4 mile time was 15.6 @ 89mph stock. I will soon have my 3" downpipe and exhaust done (with the help of my buddy levi) then I will take it to the track and see how I do

 

You should be able to run very low 14s if not into the 13s, after we are done. You might want to practice your launch more too.

If we port the wastegate, and either move the intercooler or get that NPR, you will push right around 260 HP.


Now we need to get that thing on a weight loss program

 

yeah hopefully i will have my together soon waiting in parts from pineapple and then will take it to the track and find out hopefully i don't thrash another apex seal!!!

If you second ge guys are around next spring..I wil be throwing alot of Rotary meet..and events ...Bar B Q etc..

I got some local guys wanting to do it now..BUT IF I park my 7 soon..it wont be the same...
