my mom had a kia sportage and it couldnt go over 80mph becasue it would shake and get out of conrtol. She had to lemon law it becasue the engine would shut down while she was on the highway.

 

sucks for her and here i thought the koreans has mastered the twin cam power

Well either she got a bad one out of many or I am very very lucky. I have beaten my car to hell and back and it has 104000 miles and its still running. Hell I have even taken it off roads a couple of times.

I worked at Kia dealerships for about 2.5 yrs...
The pre 98 Kias (Sephia) as you know were Mazda drive train..

The 98+ Kias have bad eletrical problems...I personally think this is thier main problems...On the pre 98 ones we used to do alot of ground work..and they car wasnt that bad...

Kia has been around for a very long time..Just not in the US ..they have so many diffrent types of vehicles out in Korea you dont see of hear about...The have trucks..Buses..a 2 seater 2 door sports car...

I think the Rio was a waste if time and money..they car cant get out of its own wind..Kia needs to look towards a 2 door car with a sporty look...

Well since Huyndia took over and is working with Kia ...Hopefully things will get bigger...Yes im sad to say I own a Kia also..I got it cheap...and whats it decked out in its not bad...The main problem We have with it is the dam ground effect kit..But SOON the car will be gone..we are already looking into the MazdaSpeed 6 turbo charged MP3 body style tuned by RacingBeat/(The US biggest Rotary tuners) Racing Hart/Sparco/Calleyway/and Mazdas perfoamance division MazdaSpeed...

 

Pre-98 Sephias are a 1st Gen Mazda Protege with different body panels. I have, as you can see by my sig a 96 Sephia. Big plans for it. Just need to get it running. What kind of kia do you have?

I dont think you can get anything else with the same package cheaper..

Its a family car...I got 2 kids..so a 4 door hatch is not bad...


BTW the Kia You got .,..I knwo where theres one in a junk yard that I know the owner...Some of the parts are raped from it..It used to be at the dealership I worked at..and since Kia bought it back it was sent to the bayside auction then he got it..

The engine and tranny is there...I i know I yanked the tail off before it left for a friend..BUT I dont think hes using it...


What do you need?I can get alot of parts from my friends lot...If he has what you need..

Nah, that's not my car in my sig. Although I have done some pretty bad things to my car resembling that.

That car that is at the junkyard. Is it a 5 speed? How much for the engine and tranny?
