Wheels and tires for a 2004 Tibby
We just picked up a 2004 Tiburon GT for a DD car for Momma Hurst. Nice car and all. But the stock wheel and tires are a little skinny.
Stock tire size is 215/45/R17. We DO NOT want to go with 18 or 19" wheels. We are not into the whole ghetto 4x4 scene. I dont know the width of the rims. I dont know much about import cars period. We needed something with better gas mileage but still had a sporty look and enough pep to feel fun.
Would like to know how wide a wheel will safely fit (front and rear) and what a good tire size would be keeping the stock diameter of the tire.
Like on a SN95 Mustang. Stock 245/45R17. You can go 17x9 up front with a 275/40 and 17x10.5 out back with 315/35 and still keep ABS and everything happy.
Will 17x8 or 17x9 wheels fit?
