Hey I have heard of the Saturn Performance races but I never see a Saturn on the streets that looks as if it is modified for racing. Is the Satrn a good car for 1/6 mile drags? The Saturn I have is a 92 FRW OHC 4-DOOR. I heard all Saturns come equiped with a turbo but I honestly dont feel anything in this car but my friends say there is a turbo in it. Can the turbos stop having effect while the motor goes back to normal? If so about how much would it cost to replace/fix this problem to get it back?

Saturns dont come with a factory turbo. If they did those cars would be ALOT more popular. Just pop the hood and find out as the turbos are located right at the exhaust header.

No no all Saturns do come from the factory with a turbo yeah honestly.... Hah Watch out cause the station wagons are especially fast! Maybe he means they come with one of those Tornadoes ya know up to 25 hp for only $69.99...

The whistling could be a hole in the intake somewhere. Maybe a loose fitting on your airbox? (assuming you have one).
And thats probably a close time for 0-60mph. Although it isnt anything to brag about.
If it was turboed you would be getting much quicker times.

Everything is fine. The intake is new...and the airbox is fine. I am planning on running against a white Saturn that I see at Advanced Auto Parts on SR60. It is a 92(I think) and all I really know about it is that there is a black bra on it and it has black window tint. I did not get close enough to see the decals or the size of the rims...but I saw you run Saturday...and I know I can take you with a Stock SOHC. ima stock turbo.. unfortunately your 0-60 in 10 seconds beats mine by about 4 seconds..i only manage to do it in under 6.. but ill race you just the same
i have that funny whislte too.. but it starts at 3000 rpm.. all the way to redline.. and no matter what i do.. its still there.. and now i have this weird whoosh like i am losing compression from the engine or something everytime i change gears.. its weird

Yeah... Ok I will race... There is supposed to be a stock turbo on the car...but I do not see one. If I can beat you at rracing...I will tighten my E-BRAKE and challenge you at drifting. EMAIL me at herndon762@aol.com if you want to get together sometime. 6 seconds..thats good. I am hoping that when I finally get the engine out of stock condition...I am hoping for about 7 seconds. I am gonna do a 1/4 mi run sooemtime this week...and I will post the results soon. If you are trying to say that the whistle noise is a turbo...I think there is a misunderstanding because I have checked at the end of the exhaust and there is no turbo...and I took it to ADVANCED AUTO PARTS on SR60 and they said that there is no turbo...only a turbo chip.

Saturns DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT come stock with a turbo. They have never come with a turbo. Who ever told you they come stock with a turbo is full of crap. There is a turbo Saturn in the Tampa area. It is a black 2nd gen SC2. It has silver Twistec stickers on the side of it. I think there is a first gen white SL2 with a turbo too.
