Need help opening doors/locks. I cannot open the pass side door and one of the rear doors from inside or out. I took the relay out of the kick panel and triied to jump them open with no luck. It's a 91 318I I want to sell but that's hard if you can't open the doors. It has something to do with a double locking sysyem I think.

you need to reset and re sync the mechanism. unlock all car, disconnect battery for 30 min connect battery (WITH ALL DORS CLOSEhope it heklpsD) get in the car, start it, roll down all the windows and lock and unlock.

 

Can't unlock or open 2 doors from inside or out.I pulled the relay and even tried to jump it..no luck. Are you near Valrico area maybe you can take a look... .PS car is for sale 1500.00 in for sale section

 

good luck man. i got locked out of my car (97 328is) and AAA totally said "Good luck" and so did the 4 locksmiths that i called and refused to come let me in my car.

 

Same thing happened to me on my M3.... I went in the car through the winshield. It was that, or wait 4 days for a key to be delivered @ dealer. $32 for the key.... or FREE winshield?

 

I have keys, that's not the problem...But the free windshield was the thing to do...lol

 

Damn I hope I dont have to go through that with my 318ti. The only scare I had so far is my steering wheel locked up and I couldnt start the car, and when I got to the point it pissed me off it finally unlocked and the car would start. BMW can be a pain but I still love them!

 

its the central locking unit.

and double locking on your e30 is when you turn the driver door lock 90 degrees to the right instead of just clicking it at a 45 degree angle, when you double lock it, you cant unlock it unless you unlock it back from the driver door.

edit- or unlock it from the trunk

 

thanks for the reply but that car is far gone now...lol It was an electrical problem I even put a new cylinder in it and it still will not open. sold it as is
