Default TR's Nissans "Identify This" thread

Apparently the dummies on Zilvia don't know shit besides rims and body kits. Our small community here is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to shit beyond rims and body panels. Maybe, just maybe, we can start getting stickies made around here.

Anyways, I posted this up on Zilvia and not one out of the thousands of members responded to it. Not so much,
"it could be...". Maybe I can have better luck here w/ our community.

Copied and pasted...

Found this on an s13 in the junk yard. It was plugged into the smaller plug for the AC. Did some searching because I thought it is/was for a DCC. It closely resembles a DCC harness, but it appears that it's missing the main plugs that plug into the DCC itself.

that harness does look familiar....

here's a site with pictures of the DCC harness.. it looks similar, but you can see that it isn't it.

What plug was plugged in where?

The second and third picture, the female plug is what was plugged into the male plug that plugs into the back of the AC module.

Looks like a merger of the Climate Control and the Radio harness, because it appears to have been wrapped in tape by someone else. The relay is what leads me to think it would be part of the CC unit harness.

None of the plugs would/will work w/ the factory radio. Everything points to a DCC setup, it's just missing plugs that would mate w/ the DCC. Aren't there 3 different types of AC modules for the s13's? Maybe this could be for the 3rd type that isn't commonly known to most?
The second and third pictures, one side plugs into the chassis harness, then would plug into the factory USDM module. It's pretty much a jumper harness w/ all of the other shit in between...shit that would appear to be for a DCC ordeal. I can provide better pictures if need be.

If I remember correctly, the tape seems to be as if the factory placed it on there, not the average Joe.

A quick Gogle search brings up images of harnesses that look much like what you have there. Which is pretty cool. More than likely the main plug was clipped when the DCC was pulled so it would be wired in to someone else harness. What a shame. Are you planning on going DCC or just looking to get the pieces identified?

No wires are cut or depinned. It's damn near identical to a DCC harness right down to the wiring colors. The relay is black, which on the DCC, it's blue. I've spent quite a few hours researching and can't find anything out about this harness.

I'm going DCC as soon as I find a harness. I have everything needed but it.

Is that car still at the yard? Did it have a typical CC? Have you tried it in your car yet to see if everything still functions?

I really have no clue what the hell it could be, but that's not saying much coming from an S14 owner.
