I've never owned a Nissan before but I have owned a 1995 Eagle Talon TSi AWD. That car is long gone but I am looking at a 1999 Infiniti G20 with a SR20det swap, and a manual transmission. The seller says the motor has about 100k but the rest of the car has more. It appears to be in good condition. My question is, Should I buy this car. He is asking for 6k. Is that a reasonable price? Also he says it's running on 12 pounds of boost. How does this car compare to my DSM. Thanks in Advance,

All depends on your wrenching skills. Not going to be 10000 write-ups on g20 sr20 problems. 6g is steep without knowledge on setups. He could be runing a t25 vs a gt30 and the supporting mods might add up. More info. Personally, i wouldnt own any older Nissan unless it's a 240,r32-4 or in the z family. Everyone is different. Goodluck, I hope more chime in when you add more info. Look at what you like about the car itself, then consider if you like the setup (motor turbo suspension blah) You might just like the idea of an sr20, and you could cop an s13 same setup for half the price.

 

for 6k i would rather have something like this

im sure its a beautiful car, but for six k the juice is not worth the squeez.
