ooooh scenic Irwindale! congrats. What are the arrangements? flights/hotels/etc? I fly out there about 4 times a year on business.

Fuck. I just won a pair of tickets for the event itself, but I guess I'ma have to front the air fair lol.

 

They pay for mine and a friend's airfare. Put us up for 4 days and 3 nights at the Marriot Hotel. Give me a $250 Visa card. World Industries is gonna give me a ton of clothes and stuff. I get to ride along with Matt Powers in his V8 S14. I get VIP passes to both days of the drift event. I get a golf cart to ride around on at the event. I get to hang out in the drivers tent and in the Need for Speed tent. I get to play Need for Speed Shift 2 with the Team Need for Speed drivers. And I get some CRAP sunglasses and a bag of ACT swag. I don't know if I get a clutch though. LOL. Just weird cause its sponsored by ACT.

 

Fly in through Ontario (CA) airport. It's closer, less people traffic, less vehicle traffic, and not called LAX. Southwest has some good routes from Tampa that transfer in Vegas.

That's probably the Baldwin Park Marriott. If they give you a choice, go with the Courtyard Marriott in Monrovia. Just as close, and a much better area.

If you're there on a thursday night, they usually have a test and tune at the 1/8th mile track, which is in the same complex. It's one of of the only strips in the LA area, so all of the cool stuff comes out. Everything is open for you to check out. I saw Abel Ibarra do a partial pass at 4.7x in his RX8 there once.

 

I looked for shits and giggles to see how much it would cost for airfare and a hotel and it was almost $500 a person :I

 

It's zero if you schedule a business trip for that weekend!

 

WOW!! I cant wait to go. My buddy will dig that Test and Tune. Hes a big drag racer too. LOL

 

Damn Jeff, sooo lucky! Matt p0owers is sex...shame on him for going v8 though, Walker is rocking SR, woot, at least he is staying roots.

Hope you have fun dood, btw I heard through the grapevine that Joe has made presence in Citrus county (Not living just car meet, i wasnt there) and is now rocking an SRT4.
