does your koyo rad leak??
i havent used mine yet but it has a aluminum drain plug, maybe you've got some knockoff it sounds like there supposed to have aluminum plugs not plastic
This X 10,000
It looks real, I didn't get a chance to look at it real close. iirc, koyo radiators have an inspection sticker on the side of them. It should be on the passenger side of the radiator.
Like on the side side cause i have no "said" sticker but i remember a plate on the bottom
My shit's like 5 year's old

This koyo is 2.5 years old. Still in great shape with no leaks or stupid shit. I also put a pic of the aluminum drain plug and the inspection tag. As you can see it definitely isn't plastic and has a little rubber O-ring around the base. I bought both of mine from frsport.
53mm ka24de koyo
53mm N-Flow s14 sr20det koyo
Wow mine must be old My logo is diffrent

Koyo used to use plastic plugs, and now uses aluminum ones.
I have had several friends use Koyos with bad results, most of them leaked from where the fins mated with the end tanks. I have seen this with both copper and aluminum Koyos.
Just because its a name brand, doesn't mean they dont have issues.
