07+ Sentra SPEC V Opinion
Alright guys, I've had my car for close to 2 years now. I remember back when I first posted about owning one a few people asked what I thought about it. Now that 2 years have gone by, I figured I would post my thoughts for possible future buyers.
The Good
- decent looks
- clean interior
- good performance for a stock vehicle
The Bad
- terrible support from Nissan
- ECU/ECM/Knock sensor/Timing issue in all SPEC V models
- no aftermarket support
- gas mileage is so-so
- possibly the worst suspension in the planet for a "performance" oriented vehicle
- resale value sucks
If I could go back and re-do my purchase, I wouldn't buy this car. The number of little issues is large enough that it isn't even worth it to own it. I'll answer any questions anyone has about it.

They're horribly ugly and slow.
edit: just remembered the shifter is on the dash. +2 to lameness.

You can say it's slow all you want but for a stock grocery getter below $25000 it has decent performance. 200hp and 190tq isn't bad.
They are kind of ugly I'll agree. On coilovers and with some tasteful changes in color of certain areas they look decent. The shifter on the dash is something that takes some getting used to. I'm currently trying to figure out a way to make it sit lower then where it does but still on the dash.

Oh trust me I know. I'm kicking myself for not picking up a GTI of the same year because of the difference in performance. I will just have to remember this as a lesson.
There is nothing tech related in this thread.
Any time! The lounge aka "tech rejectofftopicuselessthreadtrashtalking dumpster" is where this thread belongs.
