Anderson Race Park
I went to ARP on Friday for a few open karting sessions.
The karts are quick and the track is challenging and fast.
This place was called Primus previously so some of you may have been there for DD2 or an Auto-X.
I'm going to try and make there on Friday afternoon's or Sat morning's. If anyone want's to meet-up LMK.
It's not cheap but to me it's well worth it.
Here is a video from Friday.

$20 for 15 minutes or $50 for 3 - 15 minute sessions.
It's not cheap, but you don't have to worry about breaking parts or wearing out tires since it's not your kart!
Also the karts aren't super powerful so it made me concentrate on my lines, braking and getting the most out of the kart.
Here is an aerial view of the track. The loop with the lake isn't used during open karting sessions, but is used during races.

I think you are putting too much emphasis on the kart speeds. They're pretty quick when your butt is literally 3/4" from the ground. If you're new to karting, the sensation of speed is incredible as you enter bumpy turn 1 at max velocity with nothing on the outside of the turn but a ditch and a haybale, with the fast people not lifting. And if you're a shitty driver like me you can get them to power-over with some steering input, and they will definitely spin out if you can't balance the brakes well. Turn 1-2-3 is basically a decreasing radius turn, and you only have rear brakes...!
How many G's do those things pull? 2+? My neck has never been so tired.

Yes, turn 1 is definitely a "pucker" turn. I was following one guy during the first shared_session and he was going over the rumble strips between 1 and 2 and wasn't lifting, that's just a little too close to the wooded area for me.
I'm not sure on the g's, but my neck and back were still sore yesterday and I went on Friday! lol
We'll have to go sometime in the near future.
They have a 3 hour enduro in November that I want to run, but 3 hours is a long time in that kart... well it's divided between 3 drivers but it's still a lot of time in the kart.
Do you know if Scott runs the Enduro races?

Pon and I have been planning on going here for sometime. Once the wedding is over we will be there!
