I'm trying to find out what all go's into a 1uz swap into a 240 or other cars
Preventive maintenance, Prices, parts, compatable parts, headers, mounts, driveshaft, egr and deleatable parts, exc...
I know toyota owners are not dumping the 2jz for the 1uz for nothing!
I see a few people are doing this swap around but nobody has a diy or how to swap. I know brett makes the trans adapters but I would like as much usefull info as can be cramed into a thread without all the BS... sooo... Brett/andy... School me/us!

Google has answers for you. Search some Russian forums. Those crazy assholes put 1UZs in everything.
Here's what I have so far:
$600 motor/wiring harness/maf
$300 W69 transmission
$100 ECU
Still need:
$1000 W74 bellhousing but it has to be ordered from Toyota of South Africa. Allows you to bolt a W69 transmission to the back of a 1UZ. Their number is +27 (011) 809 9111. It's a long distance/international number, and their parts department kinda sucks. But it's worth the extra couple bucks. Brett's transmission adapter sucks, and who wants to run an SR transmission? Those pieces of shit blow up behind stock SR's with 205 HP.
I've also heard rumors that you can run the bellhousing off a Toyota Sienna with a Miata transmission (weird?), but I'm not really sure on that. Try it out and let me know.
$600 flywheel. Oddly enough the 6 speed S15 flywheel bolts up, it's just a bitch finding one. They're kinda pricey to buy new from Nissan of Japan.
$500 Motor & transmission mounts. Way tough to make. Lots of funny angles and stuff I'd call up S&R and have them do it.
$300 custom driveshaft. Finding a front yoke for a W69 transmission is kinda tough, but it can be done.
$200 Fluids & random hoses/crap
So I'd say BEST CASE scenario you're looking at at least $4K for the swap, assuming you do everything yourself.

Brett showed me a trick to making the swap a whole lot easier:
Fill a pillowcase with $100 worth of nickels and swing it around aboove your head, then slowly start lowering it while still swinging it.
