Default Inspection Cover

How bad is it to run without the cover?


did some work on my car today and noticed i could see the flywheel so i panic'd and my dad said it's not a big deal


so well is it?

Not a big deal. I mean you don't want water and BS all over your disk, but I used to run my KA without those brackets for years.

i forgot to put the dust cover back on my engine after the rebuild, no ill effects after years without it.

if you are worried call around to some junkyards or make you a piece out of sheet metal.

Better to have one than not to. You dont want crap all over your rear main seal and starter. If it was a 5 speed, to much water n crap woulden't be ideal for the clutch but you dont have to worry about that.

ATTENTION.... installing a head gasket, head studs or pistons and rods in your otherwise STOCK engine dose not make it a "built" engine! stop listing you cars for sale saying they are built when its not!!
