it's also one of the most visible locations for a driver, drifting to the left and being able to watch the track, and your oil PSI while 100rpms off the limiter is where it's at... better than having to look away from the road to open your glove box/ash tray/trunk to see how much boost you're pushing...

next best place in the facotry cluster... or maybe one of those column dual pods...

i think you dudes saying the best place is the apillar just want to believe it.
i imagine the steering column being terirble, but whatever.

 

i hate pillar gauges. my controllers are in the same place, but i have my guages in the din. i need to make a cover but havent gotten around to it. It works for me

 

I like dash mounted gauges, i just didn't want to mess up my dash by putting holes in it or using double stick tape to mount, I also don't like seeing wires across the dash leading into the front defogger vent. I wired my A pillar gauges to my cluster dimmer switch so I can turn them off at night. They stick out a lot less and when ricers/idiots/police come along I just turn them off and stay out of boost. I tried to keep gauges to a minimum too, just oil pressure, boost, and my wideband. My interior isn't flashy at all. I don't even have a radio.

 

rob make sure you relocate the switches you took out, without your flasher pluged in your turn signals dont work. i extended the harness so all my switchs are in the glove box, i gotta make a little box for them.

 

i have the shitty apiller im not a big fan of it at all it blocks view.
and im wanting to move the gauges myself.
i have boost/oil/soon to be wide band.
on the dash seems like a good idea just a bit ricy
i was thinking where my AC vents are but im hooking up my AC soon and thats the main blower spot.

 

Well I hate A piller mounts, reminds me to much of F&F.....as far as A/C and switches go I was going to just relocate that stuff to the glovebox. I do like the dash mount idea but like mewantkouki said I'm not a huge fan of wires chillin on the dash. Any pics better pics of this setup?

on another note, the gauges in the ac bezel where gonna be fiberglassed in.

Hmmm idk alot of good ideas and im deff a function > form guy on this one. To me it just seems like the A piller mount would block my view

 

So drill a hole in the dash, under the pod? Then you don't have any wires showing.. And its not like its a exotic dash and worth something.
