Default VFAQ for S13 / S14 240SXs

What's a site like the DSM VFAQ for 240SX SR20DET swaps?

I'd like to learn more about S14s (that means RWD SR20DET correct?)

Really the only thing I know is they're RWD, engine sits latitudinal, and with most nissans the spark plugs are right on top easy to change (worked on my friend's 92 sentra)

Teach a DSMer please or show me the path (a VFAQ type website).

RWD... does it ever spin tires? How is traction? I've always hated spinning out / spinning tires / breaking traction. Fixing traction problems cheap? (for street cars, no slicks)

How cheap are parts? How cheap is the actual car?

Any tranny problems?

S14 has the lazier looking headlights, the S14a has different side skirts and the angry eye headlights

freshalloy.com has the best faq since it is the largest site out of the 240 owners.

also heavy throttle aka srswap.com has an faq that is pretty good as far as what is needed for swap. the freshalloy faq is more general but you can find just about anything you want to know.

also, are you interested in getting a 240 or just wanting to know specs on them? if you are getting one, i would suggest when and if you get one to please learn to drive it first, and understand its stock limits, esp. suspension/braking/chassis. all the while reading up on sr20 swaps and the like. also give thought on goals and budget and time constraints and consider what you want before giving up on the ka24de (142ci stock motor), as it also carries good potential pending your above goals and budget.

Unstable Hybrids www.unstablehybrids.com . The S-13 is the best, but I'm a lil biased. hehe

www.enjukuracing.com also has a great line-up of products and accessories, with good prices.

please please please please please you people.

look up the CHASSIS code of your 1998 240sx.

Nowhere does it say S14A

how about S14?
there we go, that wasn't so hard.

The 1995-1998 240SX is known as chassis code S14. There are no r's p's h's a's b'c c's or type-r's in there.

They're all slow stock.

Most have open differentials stock. Fix that and you'll get much better traction.
