Exclamation Where in the shizza is my alarm box? ALARM QUESTION!

My Dad is having fun tracking down the alarm box on my car, anyways... check out his question:

I’m trying to program a new alarm remote to replace one that was lost, and am having trouble locating the alarm control box. Instructions say I have to change the jumper on the box from Valet to Learn before programming the new transmitter. Any ideas on where they commonly put it in a 1998 240 sx before I resort to taking the dash and console apart?

The original transmitter says Automate, and the replacement is a 491T.

He knows it could be anywhere, but where would it commonly be?

Thanks

stock one is in under the dash, drivers side. look underneath the dash...its drivers side of the car above the fuse box....lots of wires going to it. to the left of the steering wheel column.

aftermarkets/dealer opt usually end up in the drivers side kick panel. Honestly just look for connectors/crimps, etc and follow them to the control box.

this is what ur looking for btw:

also dont forget to try and find the vallet bypass button...which in most cases is how your program your alarm. Search drivers side around the fuse pannel...it will show up.
