car's alive......going to put on the dyno tonight.

my expectations? 400rwhp @13psi i made 392 @15psi on a log manifold with a smaller HKS GT3037s turbo, and a crush bent 3" DP.


once she reaches 400 i'm off the dyno. this setup given a built motor could reach 600 at the wheels, maybe 650 with about 25-30psi boost.

 

derek what kind of MIG welder are u using? mind telling me the price of it and how much does the gas run? im thinking of getting one for my dad for an early father's day/bday (his bday is in july) present as well as to use for myself when i go home.

 

i'm running a miller 135 gas was 120 for a 80 cuft bottle....and 20 for refills.

i spent nearly 800 to get a running setup......and now i want to sell to get a tig setup/

the TEC II took a shit on the dyno. we thought it was a failed crank sensor, turned out the whole tec II wasnt working. Swapped it out with the one in my daily car it fired up.

but now there is a strange issue with boost. it fluctuates from 12-14psi really slowly during a third gear pull. power is WAYYYYYY down at 279 @12psi at redline. fuel is a mix of 93 and 5 gallons of 116.


its either a wg problem or a fucked up exhaust manifold. meaning flow is all wrong

 

also the 1/2 a tank of 93 has been sitting for damn near 4-5 months.

 

Damn. sorry to hear about your problems...that sux man. you have the cams in this motor correct? I think you might have some electrical gremlins to work out yet.

 

the car ran the quickest runs 5 months ago. all i did was take the turbo setup off and sell it. the car sat the rest of the time. mechanical problems are not an option for troubleshooting at this point.

nothing else changed. the problems are related to the new stuff i've installed, the manifold and wastegate are really suspect at this point.
