Hrmm...what did the dyno graph look like? I looked at your manifold design and i see no significant problems with it. when was the car achieving desired boost? what WG are you running? are you still controllign boost with the TEC2? it almost sounds like timing is too retarded. How did your Datalogs look in comparison to previous runs?

Here's the thing...that manifold HAS to be better than the LOG there is no way in hell it's worse. so in my mind it's turbo or tuning. i wouldnt be concerned with the boost level fluctuation. get that squared away later

the curve looked jumpy, like the spark was getting blown out. i thought timing was an issue. i advanced timing 10 degrees and no change. fuel was 11:1. even if it was a fuel issue i wouldnt be 100hp short of last years dyno. at 12psi i was at 352 this time i'm at 250ish.....yuck.

i think its airflow. i had to do some major portwork when i put the T4 flange on the collector. but really i need to get the car back in my possession to look over the car again. it was a rushed install so i may have leaks that i couldnt hear because of the 4" dp.

the car drives like ass. spoolup is at 5,000rpm maybe 5,500. the curve looks smooth until the wastegate takes over then it gets all curvy and doesnt increase power like it should

right when it hits 12psi the hp curve is shooting straight up, then the fluctuation begins where the boost creeps and falls. and the hp stops gaining. i need to check the car over. i'll see if i can get copies of the wintech data for you.

i do appreciate your thoughts on this. dont let my frustration sound like i dont

oh yeah, the wg is a tial 40mm. the boost was first controlled by a Blitz DSBC then we switched to just spring pressure. no change in curve.

well i got off the phone with electromotive and they are giving me a pretty big credit for the TEC II towards a TEC III. so i'm thinking hard about taking the 2nd tec II outta the 96, putting IT in the 89 and putting the TEC III in the 96.

confusing huh?
