Default All Motor 92' 240sx

Hey guys and gals, I'm new to TR so forgive my ignorance. Here is my vision. I want to go all motor on my 92' 240. Just trying to get some more direction on who to talk to, and where to get things done. I don't want to do the sr20det swap cause that's too much money up front. Don't want to do Nitrous, cause I don't race often enough for it. Any ideas guys, all suggestions welcome

Two 1991 exhaust cams
Port/polish
Intake/header/exhaust
...?

Or do SOHC and carb it.

what would the 2 exhaust cams do. also, any idea how much horsepower i would gain from doing those thing and where I can get them done.
1-2 exhaust cams.
2-port pollish the head
3-headers and high flow cat.

Thanks I'm planning to post some pics of my car soon.

I have a sohc in my daily driver that is completely bone stock. but a good friend of mine has a built sohc, that pulls twice as hard as my friends ka24de that makes 160 to the wheels. i think it makes around 175-180 to the wheels (the sohc)

Well I was thinking of getting up to 180 to 200 horses. Will those things that I listed earlier net me that kind of gains?

Agreed, I just switched from a SOHC to a DOHC and the SOHC is definetely stronger. Better low end torque, easier to work on, and easier to build up. I'd go all forge reinforce internals. My last SOHC was done and it screamed.
The only advantage to DOHC is better top end, and if you go turbo, the mechanical lifters hold up better than the SOHC's hydraulic lifters.
