i have no problem getting the rear shocks & coilovers on the rear of the car. the problem with the front shocks is it needs to be cut around the weld of where the spring seat is. how long of a job will this take and how much$$$

but from the picture i have attached, is it really necessary to take off the spring seat?? and can i take off that octagon looking cap in order to place the gold washer??

i think the octagonal cap is what holds the pressurized internal oil of the shock in there ?!? i think if u take that off, you wont have any shock. not sure though.

you need to set the sleeve up higher on the strut body. that red plastic thing should be on the top of the spring, and that silver double collar piece should be between the top of the spring and the plastic piece, on the strut rod, not on the body, you need to set the sleeve/allen keys up higher, it isnt suppose to sit at the very bottom.

Call up GC and ask them. There usually good peeps.
heheh tool sharpener owns mwuahahah, i shaved off those octogon edges in 45 seconds, i forgot i had a tool sharpener. well anyways iam almost done now and i got everything assembled, just one more thing, can i use duck tape to cover the areas where possible "rattle" may occur??

ok something went wrong. we were putting on the front shocks and springs. everything assembled in order. now when we put back the tire it was still at stock ride height and the spring was all the way at the bottom of the treaded sleeve??? on the upper mount i tightened the 3 bolts but the middle bolt on the actual shock rod wont allow me to tigheten because when i would turn my wrench the whole rod turns. and i cant stop the rod from turning. the hting that puzzles me is we put everything in order and its stilla tstock ride height????

the top of the kybs has a straight age, lock that with a wrench then tighten, really helps that you have an impact gun

do you have any finalized pics of the strut/spring put together and NOT installed on the car?
