Surely the most interesting and innovative racing car of the past 30 years, the DeltaWing finished 5th at Petit Le Mans. We drove it two days after the race. Engineer Ben Bowlby's interview is compulsory viewing for all racing fans. A day to remember.

Nissan has already inspired a generation of gamers with the Nissan GT Academy, a program that took a wanna be racer from in front of a Playstation to a seat in an experimental prototype running at race pace in the Petite Le Mans. Spanish driver Lucas Ordóñez was the first candidate to graduate from the Gran Turismo inspired competition and is currently trotting from one international racing venue to another, competing in cars like the Nissan GT-R and LMP2 endurance racers, on tracks that he once only had access to via the Playstation network.

The big news comes in the next generation Deltawing, the 2014 Nissan ZEOD RC, an experimental prototype that this time around is 100% and will be campaigned in the "Garage 56" category at the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans. Oh, and Lucas will be testing the car out as well. So don't ever let your mom tell you to stop playing your video games.

Ollie Marriage takes the fantastically shaped Nissan Zeod for a spin around the track. With its dart like design, this slinky little petrol-electric hybrid can reach speeds of up to 300 km/h.That's 186mph!
