Default clutch master cylinder question ?

have a brand new OEM clutch slave cyl ,and a slightly older autozone master ..
everything is bleed (no pamper)
.but i am getting clutch creep "car wants to creep forward" and is a bear to get into gear.

my thoughts are that the autozone is craptastic and not OEM,and that i am getting a fluid bypass internally in the master ,due to the new slave is giving the master alot more resistance .

is this a possibility? should i buy a OEM $100 master?

yeah, autozone parts have been known to be bad off the shelf, and not last real long.

is it possible to get it up in the air enough so you can watch the slave and see if it is a matter of it not moving as far as it should, or if it is a matter of it creeping back once it hits full engagement.

If you messed with you adjustment on you clutch pedal linkage check there first. It might save you a buck or two if you can adjust the "creep".

Cool that you removed the "pamper" box. Those things stink...lol.

Where did you get your OEM SR slave from? You are SR powered right?

I dont know about Nissans, but on my DSM I know the advance/vatozone parts could come with different length rods on the slave cyl. Might check that compared to the OEM to make sure it is the same length.

When you adjust the clutch, you want to make the rod longer at the pedal (thread it out as if you were loosening a bolt) so that it presses the master more.

Otherwise Id say you need to bleed it better. What method are you using to bleed?

For some reason it seems like the AutoZone/off brand pieces are junk on Nissans. Anyone running OEM parts have zero or less issues than buying the cheaper counter part.
