So my ka cranks strong as fuhhh but won't turn over. It's getting fuel and spark. When I try to start it and get down on the throttle it back fires pretty loud. I've replaced the spark plugs and wires, and the battery also. Fiddled with the dizzy also. Any suggestions?

 

Does the coil have the proper plugs intact/plugged in?

 

Yes. I picked up a new one today to see if it helps.

Yeah. So update. I retimed the dizzy, I can get the car to start up but it won't hold idle. Of I get off the gas it dies. And it shoots out white smoke so I assume the head gasket is bad which sucks because the previous owner changed it and probably did a shitty job. Any ideas to my idle issue?

 

Do a compression test!
