Default WTF is this turbo....

Cant narrow it down. nothing about this tells me its an actual garrett, so im probably SOL. Before you ask, it doesn't have a part number or serial number or anything like that.

Its has no numbers on the compressor housing, but is the same size as a random .42 ar compressor housing i have laying around (the wheel opening that is) but the housing overall is much smaller. looks t25 size.

and the turbine says very little. .86 ar, which led me to think GTi-R. yeah fuckin right. im not that lucky. it also says M3 under that.

So .42ar com/ .86ar turbine.... But i cant tell if its a BB or journal bearing.

any ideas?

Is the outlet foot print smaller than the SR standard one? If so it could possibly be a GTR turbo.

idk, i only have the one bolted to my sr right now.

I just looked at enjuku's site and it looks almost exactly like their Isis t25/t28 replacement. with would be awesome since i baiscally paid $50 for this.

If it is a garrett it sure looks like someone stuck a GTIR exhaust wheel and housing onto an S13 bearing housing, wheel and comp cover.

Its a match on the 10 blade exhaust wheel, but generally garrett wastegate flapper arms dont look like that, which makes me say its knockoff junk.

^^agreed. thats one thing i did notice. lack of markings on the front with the different comp outlet bolt pattern tells me the same thing.

I dont know where to start as far as gauging a size for it though.

The give away is the compressor housing...waay too shiny for a Garret.

As far as size? Stock frame with an "upgraded" (bigger stock) housing/wheel.

yeah, the .86 is bigger than normal. But wont that just cause it to spool slower without any gains because the comp wheel is the same?
