ah I just pulled those pics off Nissanroadracing. The first two are 8611 double adjustables in user "veilside180sx" custom strut housings. They go for like $300. The chrome one is a koni yellow setup like mine. I picked my Konis up for $100 with ground control sleeves.

If you can weld they are easy to make. Or cheaper than $300 to get made anyway lol. Just get the diameter of the strut cartridge, and use a stock strut housing for reference...move the strut tube down on the knuckle mounts to lower the car without sacrificing travel..
I have AGXs in the back right now...I want to switch to either a 3000gt or Evo8 Bilstein rear and convert to 2.5 inch.
As far as my front setup, I need some camber plates, roll center correction LCAs, and maybe a bigger sway bar and then I think Ill be able to decide if the Konis are good enough...but Id still kinda like to try out a Bilstein 46mm setup up front too.

good job figuring it out omgosh.
props to you
i'm actually going down that same road trying to determine how I want to set up the suspension in my 300zx. Since this particular build is a daily driver, comfort is pretty high up on the priority list.
We actually drew up something very similar to your set up you posted as an option.

Let me just say Koni yellows with 8k springs ride better than AGXs and Sportlines. At the same time they manage to handle better than the JIC, Godspeed, and KEI Office coils Ive tried ( I know, not exactly quality, cutting edge shit, but still ) With the KEIs I actually had to slow down for PAINTED crosswalks...shit was retardedly jaring.
Omar...do you think you would be able to grind the welds off the strut tube bracket and just slide it up the tube? It looks to me that you might but I dont work with metal that much. That wouldnt help much for an 8611 setup, seeing as the cartridge has a wider OD then the ID of the factory tube...but maybe for another insert? What do you and Tommy have in mind for that blue (Tokico?) tube?
