running like krap
240 running like krap today, its trying to stall at idle, and is not accellerating too well. in 5th gear it just sputters, and in low gears it sounds like it has an exhaust leak. the last time i drove it was during the 40 degree weather, was wondering if the ecu needs to be reset or maybe a vacuum leak.
this happened on my way to work today so i haven't had a chance to check anything yet.

ok, so i check the dist, bottom bolt was finger loose, had slippe about 2 degrees, re-tightened and the same. pulled the battery cables. the same.
sounds like an exhaust leak (isn't) but it sputters along in all gears.
car has no pick up and i couldn't cruise in 5th at even 65 mph on the xtown. any ideas?

matt, what are you doing friday?
i'll check the maf connection again.
it smoothes out a little if i give it some gas, but at idle you can watch the shifter rock back and forth, the whole motor 'wobbles'

there is a hissing coming from back by the brake booster, the brake fluid resevoir rocks from side to side on the bracket, but no fluid leaks.
set the timing back to stock and no change.
car has no pickup to it, but the motor does smooth out over 2500 when free-revving.
disc maf while idling, it stumbled then went back to its same krappy idle.
and the drivers side mount has about 1/8 inch gap from bracket to bolt/nut...

this just happened the other day.
its the old silver s13 that was in front of secret services for like 7 or 8 months, with the twin cam from scotts s13 after he dropped his det in.
i have only driven this car 3 times this week, sun tues and then today to work.
was hoping i could drive this until the teg was sold and new car could be purchased.
