Default A few SR20DET q's

Out of curiosity, what is the going rate for a SR20DET motor and tranny (and everything you need)? Also, what is the difference between a red top and a black top? Just curious...looking for another project in the future.

the s13 swaps usually go for around $2600 for everything, at least that is what the average price that i have seen. the s14 and s15 swaps go for more. the difference between the red and black top is the year, and i am pretty sure the red tops were out of the s13's, and the black tops are out of the 180sx. i you want more info go to www.heavythrottle.com[/url]

Complete motor/tranny/wiring package usually goes for $2500 + shipping.

There are 2 S13 motors - the red top and the black top. The specs are the same for both. Best for upgrading according to several Nissan experts (I agree wholeheartedly).

The S14 motor's specs (This is also a black top) are the same but it comes with a T28.

The S15 black top comes with a T28 and Nissan's VTC. Stock it's mated with a 6 speed.

I noticed you said for everything...

Expect to spend a good 6k on a fast swap.

Nah, not jumping...just bored with my current project. I miss the RWD cars as well. Years of Mustang driving make me want the RWD again. I'd like to build a clean s13 for my next project and sell the CRX.

BTW, I'd love to have bumpin's car. Just need a buyer for the CRX first.

Dear potential bandwagoner,

We appreciate your intrest in the 240sx, but we must warn you. These cars are slow, unrelable, and look like crap. Perhaps you should look into other cars. There appears to be alot of hype surrounding these cars, and we would not want you to be misled into thinking they are cool...they are not. the best advice we can give is to go and watch "the movie" to find something much cooler and faster.

Sincerely,
The drivers of the bandwagon.
