What are these and what do they do?

I broke one of them, I'd like to know what its called before I go somewhere to get one and have to say "That orangish thing on the back of the engine with hoses on it."
Also when I got the engine the pigtail for the orange one had been ripped off. I need to know what the polarity of the pigtail should be. The engine harness has a gray colored and a brown colored wire in the place for it but I need to know which goes where. TIA!
I found one on a single cam and yanked it out the numbers aren't the same so I'm not sure if it'll work properly. I did plan on deleting the EGR system, I didn't know these were part of it. I thought they had something to do with the old ass EFI system on this engine. Thanks!
it controls vacuum for the egr valve and for the catch can. most people yank all that off, so you wouldn't need that whole little manifold any more. the only thing you'd have to do is get a new vacuum source for the FPR. like over off of the manifold, there should be a good one.
Sohc won't work. Just get rid of the egr. I don't remeber how the dual cam fuel rail is but you should bd able to just run a hose from the manifold to the rail. I only have 2 vacuum lines on my sohc. Both are for fpr.
Oh and the white one I'm pretty sure is the SVCcontroller. If you get rid of that you should remove the flaps that are on the manifold. They will stay open.

forgot about the scv thing...
yeah, google emissions removal and just yank that stuff out of there...
otherwise, you'll have to hit up the guy at the part's counter at the dealership. They can pull up the whole assembly and get the part number for that specific piece.

Thanks for all the help guys, I did some digging around and found several threads that listed out how to remove this system and others like it. The thing that sucks though is these cars and modifications have been on the web so long that the pictures are either gone or the sites have been shut down.
