alternator bottom bolt wont come off?

Default alternator bottom bolt wont come off?

i have to make a trip back to miami from tampa and my alternator went bad so i bought a ka24 one and was gonna put it in and switch the pulleys on the alternators cause mine is s sr20det.

anyways i cant get that bottom bolt off and im leaving friday morning so i need to get this done ASAP if anyone can help me out please call or text 813 545 5477. im willing to come to a shop or anywhere

you have to drill the threads out on the altenator and then the bolt will go thru.

what do you mean you can't get it off? like you don't have the strength to break it loose? Or you've loosened it, but can't get it to slide out? Or you start to loosen it and it binds up half way?

"Can't get it off" doesn't really narrow down the problem

EDIT: well, it doesn't when you're talking about alternator bolts.

He's talking about the bottom bolt, you don't have to drill that one because there are no threads in it, it just slides out. The one you drill out is the top hole with threads, so your right, but you just got the holes confused...

PB blaster and a rubber mallet work wonders...

Theres a nut on the back of the altetrnator thats supppse 2 caught on the engine or brasket 2 allow u 2twist off the bolt. see if the nut is caughting
