Why did you think that was a good idea?
It isn't just you, lots of people do that. Why do you try to start an engine that isn't ready to run yet? What's the point of that. You know it is going to run like burning buttholes, that is, if it even starts. All you're going to do is get shit too hot to work on so now you're sitting and waiting for everything to cool off so you can go back to what you were doing in the first place. The chances of breaking something are huge when your engine is flopping all over the place because you didn't finish everything first.
Just doesn't make sense to me.
As for your problems now, It is probably a bad ground. Is the ECU powering on? does the fuel pump prime, but not pump? The CAS tells the ecu when to spark and when to pump fuel, so if the CAS is bad, and or knocked loose because you were running your engine like shit, then the ECU won't do anything.
also, how do you know you aren't getting fuel? and how do you know you aren't getting spark?
You just guessing, or did you actually take steps to determine what the problem was? If so, what were those steps?

EDIT: that probably came off like a dick. I'm in pain, high, and at work, so it wasn't exactly intentional. But I'm not going to change it either because I am in pain, high, and at work.

You fried your ecu, maf sensor has no fuse so you either wired it wrong or crossed the wires, I've seen alot of people do it so don't feel bad.... buy new ecu, rewire maf, problem solved.

If you are positive the maf is wired correctly you should be ok, ya key on wiring the maf you probably touched the wires wiring it. The ECU turns on and off the fuel pump, the burned spot you see is one of the spots where the ecu gets power, since it's burned there the ecu isn't getting power so it isn't turning on the fuel pump.
