Ok, my redtop is making some odd noises, 3 different ones to be exact. To my untrained ear, one sounds like either some slack in the timing chain or guides going bad, one sounds like lifter noise, and one sounds like it's coming from an accessory, maybe water pump or power steering pump. The only one I'm sure about is the lifter noise. The other 2 have a random rhythm, but always there. It also feels like some slack may be developing in the bottom end, it feels to be a "heavier" slack because at idle, I randomly feel a slight percussion coming through the floor/pedals into my feet. I really need a seasoned SR builder/guru who has A LOT of experience with diagnosing problems so I can stay away from all the guessing. Also want to talk about rebuilding options if that's the case. Looking to have it checked out sometime this week/weekend. Thanks for any help guys.
