Default maf issue??? help!!!!!!

s13 sr20

just got this car, did some googling, and cant find my exact issue.....

so, the car had an open egr bung, ran but ran like shit, i plugged the bung, now it has stock exhaust, car wont run

well heres whats its doing,

i start the car, it will kinda hold idle at about 1200--1500
i touched the gas, it bogs down, i realease gas, it goes back up to the 1200-1500 rshared_pm range.

no black smoke...i was told the gas in the car was pretty old, i cant get new gas till i register it, lol.

so tomorow, im checking the plugs, maybe getting gas,

sometimes the car will let me rev it up a little bit but it sounds like its gotta misfire.

then when it heats up it does the whole, FK you im gonna rev down, thing

plus its running rich, even with stock exhaust all you can smell is fuel from the tailpipe

o yea, its 9:1 compression, bc stage 2 cams, stock ecu with safc2 untuned. i was gonna get it tuned but i cant drive it to get it tuned.

stage 2 cams
untuned
half assed work (apparently)

seems like you need to go over a few things....

drain gas
fill gas
change plugs
change oil
check all vacuum/boost lines/couplers and piping
clean and check MAF
check/set TPS
replace easy sensors (CTS, knock etc etc)
check all fuses, replace as needed

if it still runs like a bag of assholes, check for fault codes, and look into tuning, those cams i would think would really benefit from a tune, and would also be the cause of a lopy idle...

pretty standard stuff for a newly purchased car....

check fuels system, check electrical, do fuel system treatment/sea foam. ohm out injectors. Sounds like its either not getting enough fuel or getting too much.. Its probably the bad fuel or your safc is dumping way too much fuel. could also be the maf

Is it throwing any ecu codes?

if i remember right, these are the steps (been awhile since i checked a SR ecu...

turn key to on
check for red light in ECU, turn clockwise, hold for 5 seconds, and return to original spot, coun flashes, 5 long, and 5 short = clear, no issues.

to get out of diog mode, repeat turning, holding for 5 seconds, and returning, till LED is steady red again....
