Default coilovers stuck!!!!!

So i was planning on adjusting my ride height and the bottom housing wouldnt budge from the shock on my rear coils. I sprayed them with pb blaster and wd-40. Got a pipe wrench, tighten the perch locks, and tapped the crap out of it while gripping both perch locks with the pipe wrench and still did not budge. Tomorrow i will heat them up with a hair dryer like my friend told me(jc.lol).

Anyone else know a trick for this?

what kind of coil overs?

they should have a tool specific to them.
I have never had any problems when using that actual tool. Might have had to use a little piece of pipe for more leverage, but it didn't bust my nuts or anything.

Thanks guys for the ideas. I managed to get one out with slightly scratching the lower mount/housing. Now the other was a different story. I basically had to cut the housing enough to were i was able to pry it open. Now i need to order a new lower mount and perch locks.

get some Hilco lubricant. This stuff is AMAZING!!!!!!! I used this on exhaust bolts that were rusted sooo bad. I sprayed them for a few days and when it was time to remove the bolts they came right out. I swear by this stuff. Good luck man.

I put a solid pipe through the bottom of the coil where it would bolt on and torqued on it while a buddy held the top with the spanner.
