Nissan AC compressor...
Found a guy on TR selling an AC compressor for a Nissan. Asked if its for a SR20det and the response I received was "Its a Nissan AC compressor, it mounts on the left side like all Nissan compressor..." How true it that are all Nissan car AC compressor compatible with each other? Are KA and SR compressors compatible with each others applications...??? Just trying not to spend money on a part and shipping for something that will turn to a paper weight if it doesnt fit or never belonged... Please help if you can
Ka, Sr, and Rb compressors are all different. If you have an sr20 you have three options.
Option 1: Use the compressor specific to your motor (s13 red top, s13 black top, s14 sr, and s15 sr) As far as I know there are two different shaped sr ac compressors and these differences are dictated by the bolt patterns for the ac brackets. I'm not sure if there are differences in the and plugs/wiring for them and the existing "jdm" ac lines.
Option 2: Almost the same as option 1 except it involves modifying your existing ka ac lines to fit the sr compressor by bending or having them cut and re-welded.
Option 3 (BEST OPTION): Codyace (zilvia member) who sells conversion brackets allowing you to use a ka ac compressor and stock ka lines on your sr. Not only does this option make the most sense, it also allows you a means of easily replacing your compressor with a readily available ka compressor when the crappy sr one dies on you.

This topic has been covered in depth numerous times and a 5 minute google search could have given you everything I just wrote.
