Driving out to Shell last night...on 275. In 5th, going about 70, drop to 3rd (rev match), WOT up to 4th, close to speed limiter, try to go to 5th, nothing. Gate is closed...tried all other gears....nothing. Get off on the 22nd Ave. N. exit in St.Petersburg, pulled over on the side of the road. With the engine off the tranny will shift into each gear smoothly. We refilled it with gear oil and it was working alright, grinding a little into 4th and tough to get into 1st. Get to Shell, shut the car off. Josh tries to adjust the clutch engagement. Got it shifting. Shut the car off, turn it back on, nothing. Won't go into gear at all. It was almost like every 3rd or 4th time we started it it would go into gear....?!?!?!??????!! Also if I tried starting it in gear the clutch would be engaged and the car would move forward on start up. This makes me suspect the throw out bearing, but isn't a throw out bearing either broken or working? I don't think there's an in between...I've got hydraulic fluid. Brand new clutch and pressure plate (SPEC stage II) the throw out bearing release fork was working properly, pressing the slave cylinder properly...No weird noises coming from anything (i.e. when the TOB goes out, it squeals). Hachi Bill came to the gas station and sat in it and was fooling with it and luckily out of nowhere it started shifting again so I drove it home with NO problems. Into every gear smoothly. I even tried shutting it off 2 or 3 times on the way home just to see what would happen, and it restarted and worked perfect the rest of the way.
