'92 sr20 head
I happened to come across a '92 sr20de head, intake manifold, throttle body, basicly the entire top half of the motor. Can you put that head in its entirety on top of a '96 200sx SE-R block. Also would there be any benefits from goin from a low port head to a high port head? Thanks
I say use the cams and save yourself some work. Sell the head. My 97 ran a 14.9 before I got my 91 cam and it's faster now. Your not gonna gain that much from the rest.

Thanks. I forgot to ask, I've seen elseware that it can fit, but you have to do some, i guess , machine work or something like that. I really dont know which is why i ask. Also, will it work with my ecu because i know 95 + are obd2. Just wondering, it doesn't hurt to ask if you dont know for sure, right? Oh and I cant use the cams in the '92 head because well, it doesn't have them, they were to worn to use and i was planing on getting some new ones or JWT s3 cams. Thanks for the help.

There is top end power to be gained by using the high port head, cams, and intake manifold. I think it is worth doing if you want the most power out of your car. There is no machine work involved at all.
You will need a few different things like a new throttle and cruise control cable, a new power steering pump and suction hose, PCV hose, and a new intake hose, just to name a few things.
While you have the head off, I would recommend at least replacing the valve stem seals and have the head inspected and cleaned by a machine shop. You may also want to have it resurfaced if it is not perfectly flat.
Always use new head bolts, too.

Good luck,
