Default clutch issue

For the past 2 months or so my clutch hasn't "sprung" back up after I push it down, which makes driving a pain. I've already bled the clutch so that isn't the issue (same problem before and after) Anyone have an idea what's wrong?

>> YouTube - clutch_4-27-10.wmv (sorry for the beeping)

it's an act 6 puck unsprung (from what I was told when I bought the car) if that helps

well a brand new master is only like $45 and a brand new slave cylinder is $30 new replace both and it should fix it.

Before you swap out the master and slave cylinder check to make sure your clutch pedal is bolted to the firewall properly. Contrary to popular belief there are three points where the pedal mounts to the car rather than two. I had a similar problem with a non returning pedal and low engagement in my car (originally auto) when I switched from a stock clutch to my stg. 4 competition clutch.
This is the bolt I'm talking about.

there definitely isn't a bolt there, but the position of my clutch assembly seems awkward, like its not positioned correctly...

Yeah, the missing bolt combined with a heavy pressure plate = hanging pedal. The downward motion of the pedal actually causes a slight bending of the firewall's sheet metal a without that bolt holding up the pedal properly. I'd try installing the pedal correctly first and then re-bleeding the system. If that doesn't fix the problem I'd look into the hydraulic system. I'm assuming your car used to be auto and someone 5 speed swapped it.

also check the clevis that attaches the pedal to the master cylinder rod. my buddy's RB car had a stage 3 clutch in it and the stamped steel clevis folded over and was causing the pedal to not come back up after being depressed.

Good eye! I didn't even see that. Mine bowed out a bit from the added stress of the heavy pressure plate. I'm pretty sure not having that bolt at the top contributed to its warping.
