sorry for the basic question but I'm not too familiar with working on Z's
It's a fathers day present for my dad, 1990-96 na 300z.
I see it has the intake under the piece between the head lights. Can I just take off the paper filter attachment and slap on a k&n with out much trouble. Can anyone explain the process for me?
Thought I'd ask here before I got my hands dirty. Thanks in advance for any helpfull replies!

if it is a direct replacement K&N panel or whatever is the same looking as stock it should be straight forward. if ur asking to put a K&N cone filter and take airbox off to do that, u might need a Mass Air Flow sensor adapter (squarish plate style) to get the cone to fit over the pipe extension.

yeah I was wondering how to take the square panel filter off and put a cone filter on, if this is the best way to go.
